About KAIO

A Life of Learning.
A Heart of Gratitude.

I am not the centre of this work. The medicines are. The jungle is. The maestros who carry these traditions are. My role is to walk beside people, help them enter this world with understanding, and serve what I have spent years learning to respect.

The beginning

Peru changed
the direction of my life.

My relationship with Peru began in 2012. By 2015, the Amazon had become a teacher in its own right.

Over the years I have spent long periods close to the plants and the people who work with them: sitting with maestros, entering dieta, learning through direct experience and gradually understanding that this path cannot be reduced to ceremonies, techniques or titles.

The longer I have walked it, the less interested I have become in appearing important within it.

I feel a deep gratitude for the life I have been fortunate enough to experience in the Amazon jungle. The people I have met, the lessons I have been given, and the medicines I have had the privilege to learn from have all helped shape the person I am today. I am still learning, still changing, and still finding my way. What matters most to me now is being able to share this extraordinary place with others, with respect, humility and a genuine heart of service.

Kaio in the Amazon

Eleven years with the Amazon

Not above.
Beside.

I have been connected to this part of the world for more than a decade. That time has included Kambo, plant dietas, Ayahuasca, plant preparations and years spent learning how different this work looks when it is part of ordinary life rather than something packaged for a visitor.

I have served and taught Kambo extensively, but the Amazon continues to remind me that experience should create humility, not hierarchy.

I do not present myself as an Ayahuasca maestro. Don Arnaldo holds the ceremonies. I facilitate. That distinction matters to me.

A path measured in years

Learning slowly.
Changing with it.

2012

Peru

The beginning of a relationship with a country that would profoundly change the direction of my life.

2015

The Amazon

The jungle became more than somewhere I lived. Plant work, dieta and time with maestros began shaping how I understood medicine and service.

Now

KAIO Healing

The focus is simple: bring people here, into the real jungle, and connect them with genuine medicine work without pretending to be something we are not.

My role

I build the bridge.
The maestro holds the work.

Before you arrive

I am the person helping you understand what you are coming into. Preparation, practical questions, dieta information, group communication and the thousand small uncertainties that naturally come with travelling into the Amazon all sit within my role.

When you are here

I facilitate and support the human side of the journey. Don Arnaldo runs the Ayahuasca ceremonies and guides the medicine process. I do not blur those roles to make myself sound more impressive.

What matters

No show.
No costume.Be genuine.

I have seen how easily sacred work can become theatre when it is packaged for an audience. KAIO Healing is moving in the opposite direction. The forest does not need decoration. The medicine does not need exaggerated promises. The people holding the work do not need invented identities.

Come as you are. Do the work honestly. Change what needs to change when you go home.

The principles

What I want this
work to stand for.

Humility

Years around medicine should make a person more aware of how much they do not know. Titles matter less to me than how somebody behaves when nobody is watching.

Integrity

Do not teach one life and live another. The reason I respect Don Arnaldo so deeply is that what he teaches, he lives.

Service

This work is not about creating followers around a personality. My job is to help people reach the medicine, the jungle and the people who genuinely carry the work.

Seen by others

“At the end of the day, it is Kaio's character that truly stands out. The humility in his work, his dedication to serving humanity… and his authenticity.”
From a Kambo student testimonial

Why Don Arnaldo

Trust comes before
partnership.

I work with Don Arnaldo because I trust the man, not because I needed a shaman for a website.

Our friendship goes back almost ten years. I know him not only as a maestro, but as a friend and a brother. We have worked side by side many times, building a bond of trust and respect that reaches far beyond ceremonies. It is a friendship I value deeply, and one I hope to carry through the rest of my life.

He is strict and loving, deeply spiritual and relentlessly genuine. His own life has carried profound sadness, yet what I see in him is love rather than bitterness. He works alongside his brother on land their family has held for generations, and he speaks with enormous love about the people closest to him.

When I bring somebody into the jungle, I need to know who I am bringing them to. That relationship matters more than branding ever could.

Meet Don Arnaldo

KAIO Healing

The face is not
the medicine.

You will see me throughout this site and throughout the retreat. But KAIO Healing is not an attempt to make me the story. It is a doorway into a place, a body of traditional medicine work, and relationships built over years.

If you come, I will meet you at that doorway and walk beside you. The rest is the work.
